1) At what point did you decide that P.R was the career field you wanted to go into?
During my first two years in high school I didn't have any possible majors. I was still discovering who I was in this world and in society. I did not and still don't know what are my talents and I am still in the process of discovering what I am good at. However, by my junior year, I participated in many social activities and that when I realize I had a passion for communicating. I thought of all the things that interest me and still found it difficult. I loved to talk, write, and I love to get dressed up. However, all these things didn't lead up to a career.
I later heard about public relations and started doing my research. I had the impression that PR was just being a publicist or spokesperson. Either a spokesperson for a person or corporation. I then did what I do best, I watched videos and read blogs about it, which gave me a wider understanding and I become more knowledgeable in that career field. By my senior year, whenever I was asked my major I would say public relations. Which is the time I was convinced and sure of the career field I wanted to go into.
2.Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
As of now I am a 19-year-old freshman in college. In 5 Years I will be a graduate of the class of 2019 with a bachelor's degree in public Relations with a double minor in marketing and journalism. I will be working, hopefully as a publicist for a fashion brand or corporation, a person, or any other coronation that sparks my interest. I will also continue blogging. I will be looking into moving to Los Angeles to start a new life. Lastly, I will be doing some traveling.
Being that I am still discovering the features of Public Relations; day by day. My dream job would be to work in a corporation as the head PR. Working with organizing and planning. Writing press releases and informing the public on my moves for the company. I will also be an online journalist from my home.
