Current Vice President- Jordan Seymour
Jordan Seymour is in her senior year at SUNY Plattsburgh. She is majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Journalism. After transferring to Plattsburgh for her junior year, she became heavily involved with PRSSA and is now Vice President of the chapter.
As stated in our PRSSA Chapter Constitution, responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following items:
Section 2. Vice President. Motivate members through his/her enthusiastic attitude toward PRSSA. Perform all duties of the president if the president is absent or unable to perform his/her duties for any reason. Have a thorough knowledge of the student society and its National bylaws; assist the president in compliance of National bylaws. Assist the President in coordinating and directing committee activities and chapter operations and perform such duties as may be delegated by the president. Recommend to the President goals, objectives, plans and programs for the benefit of the chapter; scheduling of speakers for general meetings. Advise the president on matters of policy and procedure. Attend any leadership seminars or caucus that may reflect on the betterment of the chapter. Evaluate meetings, and make adjustments as needed. Network and make contact with possible speakers; keep a file of contacts made throughout the year. Send thank you notes and gifts to speakers. Organize mentoring program between upperclassmen and lowerclassmen. Attend any PRSA meetings and functions; ensure that at least one member or officer attends each PRSA event to represent the chapter.
